A small plate for storing precious things, or serving amouse-bouche.
Thrown on the wheel with a blend of high-iron stoneware, and glazed with a Nuka ash glaze.
The alkaline glaze is a traditional North Carolinian recipe, made up of only locally sourced Cherry ash, ground glass and local clay, in this case a sandy, earthenware clay from my old street in Stoke-on-Trent.
The glaze is has been applied thickly and has taken on a complex depth of colours, ranging from dark, jade coloured glass to an opaque, off-white with hints of opalescent blue.
Dimensions: 12.5×2.5cm
Weight: 170g
