A small footed bowl, thrown on the wheel with a blend of stoneware clays and glazed with a black, Tenmoku glaze.
The glaze is made using a single, iron bearing rock - a local glacial sediment - with an addition of crushed, recycled glass. It is an opaque, glossy black where thick, with a pleasing dimpled texture like orange peel in places. Where the glaze breaks on the pots edges it turns a bright, rust, red, with hints of deep blue at the boundary.
Perfect for for snacks such olives, nuts, or for storing trinkets.
Fired in the gas kiln in a reduction atmosphere.
Dimensions: 10×5cm
Weight: 180g
