A set of two yunomi, or footed cups, thrown on the wheel with a blend of iron-rich stoneware clays and glazed with a Nuka ash glaze and Tenmoku rock glaze.
The nuka glaze is made using locally sourced cherry ash, and the Tenmoku is made entirely from one local, iron-bearing rock with an addition of ground glass. Where the glazes overlap a fine, blue-white stringing occurs giving the glaze surface great depth, with an effect akin to fresh snow on a mountaintop.
Fired in the gas kiln in a reduction atmosphere
Capacity: 100ml each
Dimensions: 7×7cm each
Weight: 200g each
